Let me tell you a bit about the Mabus Agency.
We’re talented, effective and have enjoyed tremendous success since our formation. Our main purpose is to offer high quality marketing materials rooted in sound strategy. We deliver these services for a more reasonable fee than our regional competitors. It is our hope that all local businesses, small and large, can afford and implement high quality marketing services.
We are not a traditional ad agency. Primarily, we are a project based agency — taking defined projects with defined budgets rather than retainer relationships. This works better for most of our clients. Also, we take no commission from media placement. This allows us to guide your marketing plan with no bias.
Our relationships lead to tremendous client success. Our first client credits us with doubling his business over a year’s time.
Our approach is common sense. Our results are overwhelming.

Josh Mabus began his career at All Sports Review, a 32-page monthly four-color sports magazine. Josh’s responsibilities as head of the Graphic Design Department included all aspects of design, layouts and creating print ads for advertisers.
Josh ventured out on his own in 1998 with Aptus Graphics, a Web Design firm, based in Pontotoc, Mississippi. This pioneer web design company reached $200,000 in sales its first year.
In 2001, Josh became Founding Partner and Creative Director of another start-up company, NewTech Graphics of Tupelo, Mississippi. NewTech Graphics quickly became the largest digital printing installation in the southeast. Josh drove first year sales to over $600,000. He pioneered the technique of Variable Data Printing (VDP) or database-driven, personalized printing which has been proven numerous times to raise return on investment (ROI) for clients.
In 2005, Weatherall Printing recruited Josh as Creative Director. Josh’s main focus was to design Personalized VDP Direct Mail Campaigns for clients around the region. Josh lead Weatherall to five national awards in two years.
Josh and Duane Birch opened the doors of Mabus Birch Agency in 2008 and signed more than 25 clients within their first year. With a primary goal of catering to smaller companies, they soon found themselves approached by larger corporations such as Renasant Bank of Tupelo, MS.
In 2009, Mabus Birch Agency transitioned into The Mabus Agency. Now a four-person company, Mabus Agency is dedicated to providing common sense marketing solutions to North Mississippi. Josh’s strong creative talents along with his knowledge and experience with technology make him a skillful resource in the region. The agency’s core mission is to help businesses, communities and individuals in our region achieve their potential through individual, straight-forward strategies.
Josh is married to Mary Meghan Mabus and has three children: Jack, Emily and Chloe. He is on the Board of Directors at Tupelo Community Theatre, Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association, Tupelo Police Athletic League, Tupelo Young Professional Advisory Board Co-Chair and is a member of the Tupelo Community Development Foundation’s Ambassador Club. He is a member The Orchard, a Methodist Congregation.
